The Life of BOB

The Life NK range is inspired by a little bear that lives in Space.NK founder Nicky Kinnaird's handbag. A close friend gave it to her before the very first Space.NK shop opened and it has become her lucky token which travels with her around the world.

Apart from the packaging design, we also worked on the branding and naming of the products. The life circles follows through the whole line (different colours differentiate the different fragrances) interacting with the bear in different ways e.g. as a balloon, hula-hoop, moon, etc.

The bears were illustrated by Mio Matsumoto.

Building houses at BOB

The House of Illustration , which aims to be the UK's first museum solely for illustration, asked BOB to create a fund raising brochure to help find suitable investors for the museum. The brochure features illustrated type by Marion Deuchars as well as a pop-up house in the centre spread. Each pop-up house had to be constructed here at BOB and after a few failed experiments we finally managed to finish over 300 houses.

Flatbook

Swiss bookbindery Bubu asked BOB to create a booklet showcasing their new binding technique, called Flatbook. The Flatbook opens completely flat, so we showed off the flat binding with some very flat images from Holland. All photos taken by Ben Freeman.

Bratwurst for BOB...

BOB sizzled on the terrace the other day with Thueringer Bratwurst,
homemade bread rolls and cucumber and dill salad, tasty times.
